Social Attitudes to Psychiatric Patients and Psychiatry in General Hospital


Abstract
A survey of 189-specialist attitudes in three general hospital presented in 1976. Results were as follows; 1. Psychological factors were accepted as importance in a variety of medical conditions. 2. Different specialties differed little in their attitudes to psychiatric patients and psychiatry. 3. The results suggested that could be changed with the expression of psychosomatic symptoms according to the time distance of social, economical and psychological factors. 4. All specialists accepted demands of the attending role of psychiatrics in general hospital. 5. All specialists accepted their role in treating associated emotional problems of physical illness. 6. Intensive psychiatric orientation should be emphasized to all clinicians.
